Partners at the CIVITAS Forum 2024
1-3 October 2024, Parma, Italy – The UNCHAIN partners attended the annual CIVITAS Forum conference in the picturesque venue at Parma. As a member of the CIVITAS Initiative community, we had the opportunity to join this important event, which brought together key players in sustainable urban mobility.

The sessions with UNCHAIN involvement
Our partners were actively involved in key sessions. Alessandra Barbieri, from the City of Florence, spoke during the Mission Cities Spotlight session on 1 October. She discussed the role of cities like Florence in leading the way toward more sustainable transport solutions. Her talk focused on how local efforts can bring real change to urban mobility.
On 2 October, Sergio Fernández Balaguer, from EMT Madrid, shared his insights in the session on Leveraging Data Integration for Seamless Mobility and Logistics. He explained how the city of Madrid is using data to make public transport and logistics more efficient. His presentation highlighted the value of digital tools in improving city mobility.
We are grateful for the excellent organization of the forum and the opportunity to present the UNCHAIN project alongside partners from ETRA, EIT Urban Mobility, POLIS Network, EMT Madrid, the City of Florence, and many others. The forum not only allowed us to present the achievements and goals of the UNCHAIN project, but it also allowed us to connect and collaborate with many other key players in the field of sustainable urban mobility. The opportunity to exchange ideas and best practices with this diverse group of participants made the forum an enriching experience for the entire UNCHAIN team.
