What information do we collect
When you visit this website, a small amount of information concerning your use of it is generated via cookies. If you only browse the website, UNCHAIN collects no personal data (i.e. we can’t identify you).
Personal data is collected via the website if you subscribe to our Newsletter.
We will not exchange such personally identifiable information with any other organization or entity.

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Therefore, visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service but will not be sent to any other third-party organisation.
Web analysis
Our website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. Cookies are used to analyse the use of the website by our users. The information generated in this way is transferred to the provider’s server and stored there. Google Analytics uses analytical/performance cookies. These cookies are anonym but allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.
How long we keep your personal data
We keep your analytical/performance data while the UNCHAIN project is running. The project started in May 2023 and will continue for four years.
We will not use your data for other purposes than those stated on this page or for the purpose specifically indicated when we collect it.
The legal basis for the processing of your Personal Data is your consent. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
How we protect your data
We implement technical and organisation measures to secure your personal data. We have technical security measures to protect against hacking, malware, ransomware, malicious websites, etc. We do not store any personal data in cloud-based servers.
How to access, review, and delete your Personal Data
Upon your request, we can make your personal data available for you to review. You can also request that we delete your personal data.

Applicable law and jurisdiction
In case of any complaint please contact UNCHAIN immediately to resolve the problem. However, please note that you have (at all times) the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (commission@privacycommission.be).
