UNCHAIN at Urbanism Next Europe

09-11 October 2024, Amsterdam, Netherlands – The UNCHAIN project made yet another appearance on the stage of European conferences; this time at the Urbanism Next Europe conference. During the session titled “The Last Mile Challenge: Innovating Urban Freight Deliveries” on October 11, UNCHAIN shared the stage with other EU-funded initiatives tackling challenges in urban logistics and sustainable delivery solutions.

The UNCHAIN project took the stage at the Urbanism Next Europe conference in Amsterdam, held from October 9 to 11, 2024. Featured in the session “The Last Mile Challenge: Innovating Urban Freight Deliveries” on October 11, UNCHAIN joined forces with other EU-funded projects to explore different approaches to urban logistics and sustainable last-mile delivery solutions.

Facilitated by Raffaele Vergnani from POLIS Network, the session highlighted the progress and innovations of several projects, including GREEN-LOG, LEAD: Digital Twins for Urban Logistics, and the URBANE and DISCO Project. Sergio Fernández Balaguer (EMT Madrid) represented the UNCHAIN project, joined on stage by Paola Astegiano (FIT Consulting), Joris Beckers (University of Antwerp), and Ioanna Fergadiotou (INLECOM), who presented their respective projects and shared insights into the latest developments in urban freight delivery.

UNCHAIN is always very grateful to share the stage with such amazing projects in the field of urban logistics. It was a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange and collaboration with other leading initiatives.
