On 12 and 13 May 2026, UNCHAIN partners gathered in Riga, Latvia for productive discussions, knowledge exchange, and collaboration as the project moves into its final phase! 🚀
The first day consisted in the project’s General Assembly, where partners shared updates on the demonstration phase, the development of Key Exploitable Results (KERs), and the final steps ahead.

On the second day, we had the pleasure of welcoming external stakeholders as part of the UNCHAIN Stakeholder Engagement Group. The session provided a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences, strengthen connections, and gain insights into urban logistics initiatives and mobility projects taking place across Europe.
After a presentation of the services developed by the UNCHAIN cities, a peer-to-peer knowledge exchange workshop was carried out, with interventions from several stakeholders across Europe.

A special thank you to our speakers for their inspiring contributions:
🔹Anton Renard (Antwerp) for his insights on the CodeZERO Project
🔹 Agnieszka Kretkowska from the Poznan Institute for Technology, presenting the GREENTURN project
🔹 Alberto Merigo, from Reggio Emilia, sharing experiences from the GRETA project
🔹 Joel Hakuli and Sami Sahala, from Forum Virium Helsinki
🔹 Joey grigg, from Osta Studios, presenting innovations in Research and Development for urban logistics and through the STRIDE project
🔹 Dorin Beu, from Alba Iulia (Romania), talking about the challenges faced in this region when it ocmes to urban logistics
The afternoon continued with a study visit through Riga’s city centre, where we explored loading and unloading zones and discussed urban mobility challenges and solutions in practice, under the rain! 🌧️

Engaging with external stakeholders throughout the project is essential to exchange ideas, share good practices, and reflect together on the future of sustainable urban logistics.
A big thank you to the city of Riga for hosting us!
Partners will meet one last time in October in Brussels for the Final event – stay tuned!
