UNCHAIN Month 18 Review Meeting: Reflecting on Progress and Shaping the Path Forward

On December 12, 2024, the UNCHAIN consortium convened in Brussels for its Month 18 review meeting. This important milestone provided an opportunity to assess the project’s progress to date and receive valuable feedback from the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), as the consortium continues its efforts toward achieving the project’s long-term goals.

The meeting brought together Work Package (WP) leaders from partner organizations, including ETRA, VMZ, ULANC, POLIS Network, EITUMF, IBV, and SPES, to present the achievements and ongoing activities under their respective WPs. Their presentations were evaluated by CINEA Project Officer Yannick Bousse and DG MOVE Policy Officer Paola Chiarini, whose questions and follow-ups offered valuable insights that will further strengthen the project’s implementation.

The feedback received during the review will guide the UNCHAIN team as it continues to develop solutions to improve urban logistics systems and address pressing sustainability challenges. The consortium deeply appreciates the thoughtful input from the DG MOVE and CINEA representatives and looks forward to integrating their recommendations into the next phases of the project.

As UNCHAIN progresses beyond this milestone, the commitment of its partners and stakeholders remains unwavering, driving the project closer to its vision of sustainable and efficient urban logistics for European cities.
